SUNDAY THOUGHTS: 5/29/22 This last week was a hard one for many of us. I can feel the grieving in the air. Loss of life, loss of beliefs, loss of innocence in more ways than one. It began with the results of the Guidepost report - which is an independent investigation that was being done of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and their handling of sexual and spiritual abuse cases in their congregations. This event has to mean something. It just has to be the catalyst for at least a small turn around in our national policy’s. I’m struggling with how to participate in that change without becoming full of rage and blame. We need to stop fighting, and move on to solutions. There are solutions…please God, help us with solutions of love for the innocent.
